D.I.Y Galaxy Phone Cover Tutorial

Hey guys , so for the past 5 days I've been sick .
Haven't went to a doctor yet , was hoping to recover by myself .
So I am currently down with fever, flu and a really bad cough that wakes me up from my beauty sleep .
It's so annoying , I hate to be sick .

And also , I painted my own iPhone 5 Cover for my recent giveaway .

I'm just gonna briefly tell you how I did it here !

First you need these items
#1: Clean phone cover (preferably white or light colours)
#2: Some acrylic paints ( I used Black , White , Red and Cobalt Blue )
#3: Pallet to mix ( I just used a drawing board cause I cant find my pallet )
#4: Blending brush
#5: Tiny brush / Dotting brush
#6: Clear Lacquer (If you don't mind you can use a nail polish top coat)
#7: (Bonus) It would be great if you have some glittery nail polish or "diamond" stickers .

Step 1
Paint the sides black, make sure you cover the cover the corner were the camera hole is supposed to be and leave the centre aka the lightest spot clear of paint . ( I has no idea what i was doing but I think I was testing out how well my paints would blend because they are of different brands )

Step 2 :
Add in the cobalt blue where it's supposed to be less dark and blend it out .

Step 3
Time for the white part , paint on the desired galaxy pattern / milky way and blend it out with the cobalt blue sky !
Note : This step takes a lot of patience because you have to make sure that you don't rub too hard to tear the acrylic paint that you're layering on and you have to make sure you add enough whites to the blue background

Step 4 :
Yes it's time to dot some stars into your galaxy sky using the white paint, this is the fun part , get creative ! At this step you can also add glittery nail polish and "diamond" stickers , I think stickers would drop off easily for me because I abuse my phone alot hahaha .

Step 5 :
Touch up on the blending ! I mixed the red and blue together and get a certain shade of purple that I wanted and blended it out with the rest of the background .

Step 6 :
This step is like the most important step because you have to protect your work of art otherwise it will wear off !
I used top coat because it is water proof and it holds the piece together like lacquer , it is also a cheaper alternative unless you're using super high quality top coats , I just used the one I got from Bead Street !
It's only like $2 and it adds a glossy finish too ! Make sure you coat enough protection so that it lasts :D

AND TADAAA IT'S DONE !
Now you know how to make your own galaxy phone cover , go get creative ! Feel free to tweet/insta me the photos if you actually did one , I would love to see them :D
